Behind the Scenes Tour of Boardwalk Hall’s World’s Largest Pipe Organ [VIDEO]

Ever since I heard the pipe organ at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, and had the chance to go behind the walls to where the 449 ranks of pipes are hidden, I knew that this organ deserved a closer look by all.

The Boardwalk Hall Pipe Organ, built between 1929 and 1932, by the best organ designers in the world, is a local treasure that is in need of more attention.

Did you realize that Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall is the home to the largest pipe organ in the world? Although it hasn't been fully functional for many years, work is underway to restore the organ to its original grandeur.

Steven Ball, the Staff Organist and Outreach director, charged with spreading the word about this amazing organ, took me on a behind-the-scenes tour of the organ and the rooms of pipes and circuitry that make it work.
