Bed Bath and Beyond is the latest retail giant to announce store closing nationwide in 2019. The retail giant is also increasing the number of stores that will close their doors for good.

According to the USA Today, Bed Bath and Beyond had mixed results concerning their financial performance in the fourth quarter of 2018. The company will now be closing 60 stores after the holiday season.

Forty Bed Bath & Beyond stores will close and the other twenty closings will be from the company's other holdings including Christmas Tree Shops and buybuy Baby. The closings will take place in early 2020.

NJ.com reports that in a recent  open letter to shareholders, the company announced the possible closings and relocation of certain stores. No word if any of the closing or relocated stores are in New Jersey.

All Bed Bath and Beyond stores will also undergo a freshening makeover before the start of the busy 2019 holiday shopping season.

The New Jersey Based company has 35 Bed Bath and Beyond locations in the Garden State including Mays Landing, Mt. Laurel, Deptford, Cherry Hill and Sewell.
