Beauty & the Leash, OC Airshow, Beer Fest – Weekend Happenings

Dog lovers, join Lite Rock's Eddie Davis this Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10am for the  "Beauty & the Leash Pageant"  on the lawn in front of Shore Medical Center in Somers Point.

The festivities begin with the Show Us Your Paws Parade along Bay Avenue. Then, following a short ceremony honoring pet therapy dogs, it's the Beauty and the Leash contest.

Dogs will be entered in four categories: owner Look-alike, talent, beauty for small dog and big dog. Winners will be awarded a trophy and celebratory biscuit. The judging panel includes former Miss America Suzette Charles.

Admission is free and all dogs are welcome. Registration begins at 9:30am. This fun event is hosted by Somers Point - Community First.
