300 victories as a coach is an accomplishment few ever realize.

Tuesday night, Atlantic City High School's Gene Allen picked up his 300th win in just his 16th year as the coach of the Vikings. That's impressive!

The big win came in a 64-29 pasting of Egg Harbor Township at Atlantic City.

Atlantic City High School is now the only school in New Jersey to have three coaches reach the 300 victories mark, with Allen joining Mike Sweeney (1931-1955) and Bill Swain (1955-1977) as the coaches to reach the 300-wins plateau.

Allen, who has coached A.C. since 2003, has also won three state championships and six South Jersey championships along the way.

Congratulations to Coach Allen and the Atlantic City Vikings basketball team!
