Atlantic City Casinos Battling Over Business?

There are a total of nine casinos in Atlantic City after the Hard Rock and Ocean Resort opened as the newest additions.

Between online gaming and sports betting, the casinos are definitely making money but there is only so much business to go around so naturally, a lot of the casinos saw a decrease in business as there are more options for people to choose from these days.

Here are all of the casinos that there are to choose from and how they are doing business-wise these days.

Borgata

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $76,618,371
July 2017: $80,126,715

Borgata saw a 9.9% decrease in gaming revenue despite the fact that they were the first to offer sports betting.

Tropicana

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $37,048,446
July 2017: $41,086,493

Overall, Tropicana is the 2nd highest grossing but still saw a 9.8 decrease in revenue.

Hard Rock

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $32,716,115

After being opened for a little over a month, Hard Rock comes in third for gaming revenue and have stated that they do plan on implementing sports betting.

Harrah's

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $31,435,241
July 2017: $36,613,337

Harrah's saw the biggest decrease with a total of 14.1 percent but that may soon change being that they started sports betting on August 1st.

Golden Nugget

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $29,434,157
July 2017: $27,050,239

Golden Nugget is the only casino that saw an increase -- go golden!

Caesers

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $29,357,728
July 2017: $$32,740,178

Caesers' gaming revenue dropped a 10.3 percent -- I hope Brutus has nothing to do with this.

Bally's AC

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $20,576,191
July 2017: $22,826,442

Bally's suffered with a 9.9 percent decrease.

Resorts

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $17,845,495
July 2017: $20,445,557

Resorts suffered a 12.7 percent decrease compared to last year but will begin taking in-person sports bets TODAY so let's hope it makes a difference for them.

Ocean Resort

Total Gaming Revenue:

July 2018: $17,097, 044

For being opened for just over a month, this casino did very well. It looks like the other casinos should watch out.
