Viral Asad's Hot Chicken Chain Coming to Vineland

The latest sensation in the Nashville-style hot chicken craze is about to open a location in Cumberland County.

Asad’s Hot Chicken, which has grown from one location in a food stand in a gas station parking lot to 20 locations and growing across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, is preparing to open a store on South Main Road in Vineland next to the Main Tree Shopping Center.

Asad's Hot Chicken's Origin Story

Asad Khan opened the first Asad's Hot Chicken with a $30,000 investment at a small walk-up counter in a gas station parking lot at 7300 Roosevelt Blvd in Northeast Philadelphia in 2022.

The chicken place quickly went viral on social media, and additional locations have been opening ever since.

Asad's brand was built around bold flavors, generous portions, and serving 100% halal-certified food that everyone could enjoy.

Asad's says that from day one, customers connected with his approach.

Asad's in New Jersey

By the time Asad's Hot Chicken in Sicklerville opened in the Winslow Plaza in September 2024, over 300 people lined up outside for the opening-day free chicken giveaway.

The chain also has New Jersey locations in North Brunswick, Burlington, and Cherry Hill and has plans to open in Mt Holly soon as well.

Asad plans to go coast -to-coast with his chicken chain.

Asad's Hot Chicken prepares its juicy chicken sliders and tenders by coating them with a custom spice dust and then frying them and serving them on soft brioche buns with cheese, pickles, coleslaw, and a signature house sauce.

Asad’s Hot Chicken is moving into the former Vineland Boston Market location on South Main Road.

No grand opening date has been given, but work on the store is underway, including painting the outside of the building in the company's graffiti-art style.
