Buddy ‘Cake Boss’ Valastro will be hosting the official ribbon-cutting for Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City on Friday, July 19.

Who is Buddy Valastro?

New Jersey Hall of Famer Buddy Valestro was already working alongside his father at Carlo’s Bakery, the family’s Hoboken bake shop by age 11.

Six years later, with his father’s untimely death, Valastro took over the business. Over the coming decades, the man who became known as “The Cake Boss” would expand the business to as many as 20 locations in eight states.

He made his reality TV debut in 2007 as a guest mentor on “Food Network Challenge.”

Two years later, TLC gave Valastro his own series, “Cake Boss”; it would run through 2020.  Valastro also hosted four “Cake Boss” spinoffs: “Next Great Baker,” “Kitchen Boss,” “Buddy’s Bakery Rescue” and “Bake You Rich.”

Buddy's New Venture in Atlantic City

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City says that Buddy Valastro's new concept offers a tempting array of Jersey-style sandwiches, a diverse selection of pizzas, and Valastro's iconic desserts and cakes.

Unique to this location, guests can also dine on a variety of fresh pastas.

Because no Valastro concept would be complete without his signature desserts, sweet-lovers can delight in a variety of pastries and sweet treats including cannoli, Buddy’s famous Lobster Tail pastries, and more from Carlo’s Bake Shop.

Friday's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The official ribbon-cutting for Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire, located in the main lobby at Harrah’s Resort, happens at 10 am Friday, July 19, and includes a meet and greet with Buddy Valastro.

"I’m so excited to launch a brand-new concept in my home state and bring the best bites from my restaurants in Vegas,” says Buddy Valastro.

“Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire is another great step forward in my relationship with Caesars Entertainment and our development of fun dining concepts with Buddy Valastro’s Restaurant Group.  I can’t wait to open and bring out the famiglia!”
