After Port Republic Search, Where is Retired Absegami Teacher?
Alan Levin is still missing.
More than 48 hours have passed since the the retired Absegami High School teacher was last seen.
Alan Levin, 84, left his Smithville home at about at about 6 am on Saturday, according to a Facebook post from his son, Kevin.
He was driving his black Honda CRV.
His family said that Levin could be anywhere, especially boardwalk locations around South Jersey, but he also likes spending time in quiet parking lots.
Levin is described as 6-foot-tall, with blue eyes and white/grey hair.
His son said that he is likely wearing a black, white, and yellow Nautica windbreaker and dark sweatpants.
The Former Teacher's Car is Found
On Sunday afternoon, witnesses reported seeing a car fitting the description parked by Port Republic Lake and dam.
Police responded to to the location near the Port Bridge on Sunday night, according to a Facebook post from the City of Port Republic.
There is a large search and rescue operation in Port Republic near the Port Bridge searching for a missing 84-year-old white male wearing a blue and burgundy jacket with navy blue sweatpants. Search and rescue members are checking in yards and wooded areas. If anyone saw the missing male or has any information, please contact the Galloway Township Police Department.

The Galloway Township Police Department along with several Atlantic County Agencies are currently conducting a search operation for a missing person along the border of Galloway Township and Port Republic. There is no threat to the public or cause for alarm. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Galloway Township Police haven't commented on the search.
According to a family member, police did find Alan Levin's vehicle, but the search didn't turn up any sign of Levin himself.

Levin, who taught for years at Absegami High School, is being remembered by people he taught during that time.
Many people are giving their well wishes to the family on Facebook and offering prayers for the safe return of Alan Levin.
