Some living in the area lost power until Sunday.
Atlantic City High School also lost power and was unable to host the five games planned for Saturday's Battle By the Bay.
The high school had to cancel the games, inconveniencing teams traveling from a long distance and leaving vendors for the games on Saturday with no revenue.
The high school also lost its revenue from the day of the tournament, which is used for a scholarship fund.
The Black Horse Pike was closed in both directions for much of Saturday.
