Closures on Absecon Boulevard Bridge over Beach Thorofare in AC

The work is scheduled for this Monday through Friday, November 3-7, between rush hours.

Lane closures are expected on the Rt. 30 drawbridge over Absecon Inlet, in Atlantic City, 9 am to 3 pm, for scheduled preventative maintenance work by the NJ Department of Transportation.

The primary routine maintenance involves periodic testing of the drawbridge's gate system.

One lane will be kept open in both directions while the work is underway, officials with Atlantic County said.

You are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution, and anticipate potential delays in the work area. The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unexpected events.

Suggested Detours

Motorists can use the Atlantic City Expressway or the Black Horse Pike/Albany Avenue to avoid delays.

You can check the NJ Department of Transportation website (511nj.org) or their social media for real-time travel information, including any future closures or delays.
