The car she was a front-seat passenger in was reportedly heading northbound on Delsea Drive when the driver attempted to turn left onto Parke Place Blvd. (in Washington Twp.), according to Courier Post. A vehicle traveling southbound on Delsea broadsided the car Calabria was in.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Calabria's is 23-year-old Newtown Square, Pennsylvania resident Montgomery Brown who was not reported to be seriously injured. However, the driver of the vehicle carrying Maria Calabria was badly hurt and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The identity of that driver is unknown, and there's no word on whether any charges have been filed.

But Washington Township Police continue to investigate the crash, which shut down traffic on Delsea Drive for several hours, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to email Officer Joshua Bradford at jwbradford@pd.twp.washington.nj.us.

Our thoughts are with Maria Calabria's family at this incredibly tragic and sad time.
