7 of South Jersey’s Best St. Patrick’s Day Bars and Restaurants
It's difficult to believe that it's already coming up on St. Patrick's Day. From parades to parties to green beer and Corned Beef and Cabbage it's a day of fun.
This year, St. Patrick's Day falls on a Friday. My guess, is a lot of us may use that fact, as an opportunity to make an adjustment to the holiday, and just call it St. Patrick's weekend.
Here in South Jersey, we've got quite a few options to choose from.
In Margate, Maynard's Cafe should be near the top O' your list. Located on Amherst Ave in Margate City, this family-owned restaurant has been around since 1952. Manyard's made the list of the top 10 restaurants in Margate City by Trip Advisor. Each year, they're known for creating a great St. Patrick's Day vibe.
The Irish Pub in Atlantic City is another good option. It's located at St. James Place at the boardwalk in Atlantic City, and while the party should be a blast, when you step into The Irish Pub, you'll find some really cool Irish art and memorabilia.
Tennessee Beer Hall in Atlantic City will be starting the festivities early to coincide with the parade on March 12th. They'll be opening at 11am with live music performances, as well themed drink and food specials, not to mention their large selection of beers.
In Sea Isle City, O'Donnel's Pour House gets things started at 11am on St. Patrick's Day. Known for their upscale pub food and great pub atmosphere, they'll have a special St. Pat's menu and a DJ will be playing tunes.
Cape May is where you'll find Carney's huge St. Pat's weekend blowout. On Friday its beef and beer as well as the beer Olympics. The party continues on Saturday with keg and eggs in the morning, followed by a polar plunge, 1k and 5k (a great way to work off all the partying!)
Anglesea Pub in North Wildwood will be throwing a great St. Patrick's Day party. They'll open Friday at 1 with Snog the Rock and a great menu full of a great selection of Irish favorites.
In Somers Point, the pick is Josie Kelly's. With 3 bars and a huge banquet room that plays host to various bands and Dj's. Josie Kelly's has gone to great pains to create a true Irish Pub. Whether you want a raucous experience or something more intimate, you won't be disappointed.
