$15 Million-Dollar Makeover Coming To Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort
Atlantic City casinos have just endured the most difficult and challenging year thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Profits for all AC casinos were down a whopping 80% in 2020 due to COVID-19 according to a report from The USA Today. A small profit was made by seven of the nine casinos for 2020 despite the grim numbers for the year.
The casino that had the biggest profit of the year was the Ocean Casino Resort which posted a profit of $21.8 million for 2020.
Ocean Casino Resort will also be putting money back into the property with a huge renovation project according to NJ.com and they'll also be giving back to their employees.
The $15M makeover will include upgrades to the casino floor, the pools, cabanas, and the beach. A new high-limit table games area, an Asian gambling space, two new lounges for loyalty cardholders, and 250 new slot machines will also be part of the renovation project.
The Casino is also putting aside one million dollars for employees for raises and bonuses
