It happens every few years. People get together from the New Jersey Board of tourism and decide how they can get more people to visit. Some of the most memorable slogans go all the way back to “Trenton Makes, the World Takes.” And of course there was “stronger than the storm,” after Hurricane Sandy and the very popular, “New Jersey and you: Perfect together.”

Obviously, those wizards of PR were not working as hard this year since the pandemic stopped a lot of people from traveling.

Now that things are going to begin to get back to normal, we thought we needed to come up with some new advertising taglines that would get people excited about coming to New Jersey. There’s only one problem: Most people aren’t that excited to come to New Jersey.

And when we polled our listeners to ask what some good slogans were, in true New Jersey fashion, they came up with snarky, sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek digs at their home state.
