10 Reasons to LOVE the Garden State on National New Jersey Day

I felt compelled to start this list with New Jersey's favorite son, Bruce Springsteen. I've been fortunate enough to see The Boss live multiple times. His love for our state comes through loud and clear!

I guess if Bruce is number 1 then Bon Jovi has to be number 2. These two artists have done so much for the image of New Jersey. In fact, one of Bon Jovi's most famous albums is named after our state!

Now were getting to the good stuff. Most people who aren't from our state have no clue what pork roll is and have never tasted one of my all-time favorite sandwiches ever, pork roll, egg and lots of melted cheese!

Here's another goody from our state. I have a hard time just eating one piece even if gets stuck between my teeth.

A box of taffy makes a great gift and is available on any of our boardwalks!

While were on the subject of salt water, what's not to love about our award winning beaches. I can't think of a better way then to spend a summer day at the beach!

I guess this would go hand in hand with our beaches. We have some of the best boardwalks in the country including Ocean City and Wildwood!

You can't go far without passing a institution in New Jersey called Wawa.

Now were talking! The Garden State seems to be a hot bed for new breweries popping up all over the state including Cape May.

We still have the luxury of having a gas attendant pump our own gas.

This does create a problem for me when I travel out of the state and need to fill-er-up. I have no clue what to do when I pull up to a pump.

We LOVE to root and our passionate about our favorite sports teams including the Eagles and Phillies in South Jersey and the Giants, Jets, Yankees or Mets in the North Jersey.
