10 Inexpensive Items Really Needed at Cape May Zoo
Cape May Zoo, one of our favorite South Jersey attractions, is free and open every day of the year except for Christmas. The zoo features over 550 critters representing more than 250 different species.
Because the zoo doesn't charge admission, they rely on donations to help offset the enormous cost of keeping all their residents happy and satisfied.
To keep the donation process user-friendly, Cape May Zoo has a Wish List set up with Amazon that allows you to see what is needed, buy it through Amazon and have it shipped directly to the zoo.
In addition to the Wish List, Cape May Zoo has a number of items they use for zoo enrichment and daily tasks around the zoo.
These are mostly inexpensive items that you can collect and drop off at the Cape May Zoo, 707 Route 9 North, in Cape May Court House. The items can be dropped off at the Zoo's main office Monday - Friday from 7 am - 3 pm.
I have handpicked ten items from this list that won't cost you much money but will make a big difference to the good folks at Cape May Zoo.
- Cardboard tubes (any size)
- Disinfectant Wipes
- Cardboard egg cartons
- Newspaper
- Aluminum Foil
- Spray bottles
- Yogurt drops (for chinchillas, guinea pigs, etc.)
- Peanut Butter
- Applesauce (no sugar added)
- Baby Food
