Here's some really good news for parents, students, and faculty of Wildwood Catholic in North Wildwood.

The school was on the closing list released by the dioceses of Camden last month, along with Saint Joseph Regional Elementary and High School in Hammonton, Cape Trinity Catholic Elementary School in Wildwood and Good Shepard Elementary School in Collingswood.

The Press of Atlantic City is now reporting that the school will in fact be open for the 2020/21 academic school year. Students from the Class of 2020 received their diplomas yesterday as part of a socially distanced car parade to celebrate their achievements.

A major fundraiser implemented by parents, friends and alumni of both Wildwood Catholic and St. Joe's in Hammonton raised money in order to save the schools from closing their doors for good.

St. Joe's is currently in negotiations with the diocese of Camden to keep their school open for the upcoming school year, according to the Press of AC report.
