What Should Replace the Carson Wentz Banner at the Linc?
I guess you can say the Carson Wentz era in Philadelphia officially came to an end on Monday.
The team took down the imagine of Wentz that was hanging outside of their home, Lincoln Financial Field, as the 2021 season quickly approaches.
So who or what should replace the image of Wentz outside of the stadium?
There is only one answer.
The Brandon Graham strip sack of Tom Brady in the teams only Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
On the memorable play, Graham stripped the ball from Tom Brady and Derek Barnett recovered the ball.
The play gave the Eagles the ball back and allowed the Eagles to run the clock down, forcing New England to use all their remaining timeouts.
Kicker Jake Elliott converted on a 46-yard field goal, putting Philadelphia ahead by the final margin of 41–33.
Other plays or players under consideration could be the famous 'Philly Special' play, where Nick Foles caught a 2-yard touchdown from tight end Trey Burton. The catch makes Foles the first quarterback to ever catch a touchdown in a Super Bowl.
Players on the current roster under consideration would be Graham, Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.
The team could elect to go with one of their Hall of Fame players past like Brian Dawkins or Reggie White.
However the play that stands out the most kills to birds with one stone, putting a current player, Graham up there, and displaying the play that essentially sealed the teams biggest win.
