You may have seen a bunch of headlines talking about a subscription service that allows you to go to the movies for only $10 a month.

This may seem too good to be true, but it's not.

You too could go to a movie every single day for just $9.95 a month.

Crazy right?

The subscription service MoviePass has been around for a few years now. They used to offer a $50 package that allowed you to go to the movies all month long, as much as once per day if you wanted to.

This week the company announced it would be dropping its prices to only $9.95 a month!

If you go to only one movie a month it's already paid for itself.

My guess is they are banking on the fact some people won't go every month.

I went over to the website to check it all out and the system works with a debit card.

You sign up using a card that you already have and they send you a MoviePass debit card in the mail.

Every time you want to go to the movie you just need to by within 100 yards of the theater to buy the ticket and use the MoviePass card. It does work at major theaters like AMC and Regal, plus at many independent theaters as well. You can reserve ahead of time, again just make sure you are within 100 yards of the theater.

Of course no one else can use your movie pass, it only works for one ticket a day, you can only see the movie once, and it doesn't work for 3D.

If you are like me who sees some movies 5 times in the theaters, you'll have to pay for the other 4 times.
