Two New Jersey Cities Make List of 100 Best Places to Live in the United States

The 100 Best Places to Live in the United States, is a pretty impressive list to make and a list that makes millions look at and say "Hmmm is this a place I'd like to live?".  Some places on the list you just might like, while other places on this list you may wanna pass on. Some places are more remote and quiet, others are more urban and busy. It is definitely a list that depends on what your tastes are. The good news is that not one, but two places in the Garden State did make this list and maybe would be a spot you'd like to live or maybe you already live there and enjoy it.

In a recent NJ.COM article, they cited a survey by Livability that highlighted the "100 Best Places to Live in the United States". "The website explores what makes small-to-medium-sized cities great places to live and then compiles different rankings on a wide range of topics, including their most popular list. To be considered for this list, cities must have a population between 75,000 and 500,000 and have a median home value of $500,000 or less."

The two locations from New Jersey that made the Best 100 List are Jersey City and Clifton. "According to Livability’s entry on Jersey City, the mid-size city made the ranking due to its “stunning skyline views” and “easy access” to New York City. It also gained high marks on restaurants and nightlife, things to do, economic opportunities and educational opportunities."

In addition, "Clifton, although further from New York City, also gained high marks on Livability’s ranking list. Livability praised Clifton as a safe, “picturesque” area for “young families and professionals” with “plenty of outdoor activities and excellent schools” to foster a sense of community. It also gained high marks on economic opportunities, educational opportunities and cost of living."
