TEACHER OF THE MONTH: Katie Hendrix of Pomona Preschool

We began another year of recognizing excellent South Jersey teachers by choosing Katie Hendrix as the Lite Rock Teacher of the Month for October.

Miss Katie is a teacher at the Pomona Preschool in Galloway.  She was nominated by her student Jacob Goldstein's mom, Nikki.

If you listen to the nominating e-mail, which is included in my attached conversation with Miss Katie, you'll hear how excited Mrs. Goldstein is that her son has a teacher as passionate and caring as Katie .

Katie Hendrix wins a Lite Rock pizza party for her class courtesy of Carluccio's Pizza in Northfield.  For submitting the nomination, Jacob Goldstein becomes this year's first qualifier for a $2000 scholarship from Lite Rock.
