Taylor Swift Makes Surprise Announcement About New Album Release

Taylor Swift shook up the internet this morning with a surprise announcement about her new album release.

The 10-time Grammy winner revealed that she's releasing a new album, "Folklore," her eighth album, at midnight tonight.

"Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into," she wrote on Instagram. "I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine."

Swift fans are used to the singer dropping clues up to months in advance about her next musical endeavor, but the singer did away with the long buildup this time. The entire 16-song album was written "in isolation," she said.

A music video for the song "Cardigan" will release at the same time.
