These Unfortunate New Jersey Towns Are Being Bombarded With Spotted Lanternflies

We all had a sneaking suspicion they's be back this summer, and for a minute we thought we might get away with it. But now spotted lanternflies are being, well, spotted all over New Jersey.

We asked you to tell us which towns in New Jersey were really being bombarded, and you certainly responded. Our focus landed on the Monmouth and Ocean County areas, and some towns are dealing with the pests much more than others, and some think this summer's infestation is even worse than last year's.

We heard from residents of dozens of towns around the Garden State, and here are some of the town names we heard more than any others.

There might be no area getting pounded with spotted lanternflies than Brick, where responders to our question say the air is thick with them. Howell is another area that is hosting unwanted summer guests in incredible numbers.

Toms River, Red Bank, and Manasquan also got a lot of mentions, but just about every town in the state is dealing with these flying nightmares again this summer. And a lot of people are reporting that this year's spotted lanternfly might be a little bigger,  and may even be tougher to kill. Great, they're adapting.

Of course, the advice we get from the experts is to kill as many as we can, just like last summer. Could you imagine if we didn't kill so many of them last summer? This year would be even worse than we are dealing with.
