The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly will interview former Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse this week about their head coaching vacancy.

The team dismissed Doc Rivers on Tuesday following their round two exit against rival Boston in Game 7.

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquire reported the news on Thursday night.

The 55-year-old is 237-170 all-time and 25-16 in the playoffs. He won a NBA title during the 2018-2019 season with Toronto and was the 2020 NBA Coach of the Year.

Nurse, who was an assistant in Toronto before taking over for Dwyane Casey, is also a candidate for head coaching openings with the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.

He was fired by the Raptors following a loss to the Chicago Bulls in the NBA’s play-in tournament.

He is one of six candidates for the Sixers head coaching position with Monty Williams, Mike Budenholzer Mike D'Antoni, Frank Vogel and Sam Cassell.
