A deadly crash caused the closure of the Atlantic City Expressway westbound for several hours on Tuesday.

New Jersey State Police say a car ran off the road, hitting trees and flipping over near exit 33 in Winslow Township.

The crash happened at about 3 pm closing the westbound lanes between exits 33 and 38 for several hours. Both lanes were reopened after 7 pm Tuesday.

CBS 3 Philadelphia reports that a passenger in the car, 36-year-old Percell Grey from Philadelphia was killed in the crash. The driver was seriously hurt, according to NJ State Police.
