This Is New Jersey’s Most Affordable County To Buy A House In

The real estate market has been really crazy the past couple of years, and New Jersey might be one of the places it's craziest.

There are a lot of areas of New Jersey that have seen a lot of changes in the real estate market, some good and some bad. But is there a place in New Jersey where there is a bargain to be had?

There aren't a whole lot of cheap things in New Jersey, and homes are no exception. We all know how expensive it is to buy a home in the Garden State.

But there is a recent report out at Go Banking Rates that lists the county in each state where real estate is the most affordable. Do you think you can guess which county in or state gets the honor?

Well, some of the counties in our state are among the richest and priciest in America, so it's pretty easy to figure out which ones they aren't.

The winner for this distinction belongs to Cumberland County, where the average home is just north of $217,000. And in the Garden State, that really is a bargain.

For the record, according to U.S. News, New Jersey is home to three of the top fifteen richest counties in America, and they are Somerset County, Hunterdon County and Morris County, with Morris being the richest, ranking #12 in the nation.
