The ranking New Jersey gets when it comes to overall well-being according to a recent report will make you not feel well.

According to Gallup, when you compare factors such as career, social, financial, community, and physical conditions, New Jersey is in the bottom half of states in the nation.

As a matter of fact, our overall ranking for 2018 was #31, meaning we were actually in the bottom 40% in the nation. There is mostly bad news for the Garden State, but there is a bit of decent news as well.

First, some of the bad rankings in these elements for the Garden State...

Financial...#28

Community...#40

Career...#41

And the elements that didn't look as bad for us...

Physical...#19

Social...#9

The one ranking that really stood out to me int his research was the "community" category, which doesn't seem to reflect my personal experiences in the Garden State, but the numbers are the numbers.

Hawaii, Wyoming and Alaska (1-3) topped the list for the state with the best overall well-being, and West Virginia, Arkansas and Kentucky represented the bottom 3 states. New York landed at #37, while Pennsylvania is #34.

The report also says the overall well-being in the nation was slightly down from last year's results.
