Congratulations to Melissa Fennekohl, the Lite Rock Teacher of the Month for June, 2021.

Ms. Fennekohl is a third grade teacher at Upper Township Elementary School in Marmora.

She was nominated by her student Liam Teeney's mom, Christine, for doing an excellent job of engaging her son while teaching him virtually and on a hybrid schedule this year.
According to Mrs. Teeney…

"Liam insisted that Ms. Fennekohl should be the Lite Rock Teacher of the Year. In his words, she is "THE most patient teacher ever".  The hybrid schedule and virtual instruction has been hard on Liam as a third grade, highly energized kid.

But Ms. F makes online learning fun with scavenger hunts, dress up days, read alouds, and, even virtual BINGO. It is clear to my family how much she cares for my son and we are so thankful to have her."

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
