A Washington Township man has been charged in connection to a fatal motor vehicle crash in Pennsauken earlier this month.

Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay's office says 30-year-old Michael Tucker was initially charged with three counts of assault by auto, however, one of those counts has been upgraded to death by auto.

The accident happened just before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon, August 8th, the area of Route 130 and Drexel Avenue.

One person in a vehicle was entrapped and had to be extricated; two other people were injured. All three victims and Tucker were taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

One of the victims, 76-year-old Angel Caraballo of Camden, died later that night.

Authorities say on August 24th, toxicology results revealed that Tucker’s blood alcohol concentration was above the legal limit, which promoted the charges against him being upgraded.

Tucker is currently in custody.

Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at (856) 397-4000.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
