Man Charged For December Fatal Shooting in Camden, NJ
A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in Camden last month.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Isaac Santiago of Camden has been charged with the following:
- First-degree murder
- Second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon
- Second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose
On the night of December 27th, Camden County Police responded to the 1400 block of Louis Street in Camden for a ShotSpotter activation.
Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, a man, later identified as 35-year-old Esterlin Torres of Pennsauken, was dropped off outside of the emergency room of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
From there, he was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Following an investigation, Santiago was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force on January 3rd.
