New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced on Tuesday that Stockton University in Galloway Township will be hosting Haiti's soccer team as they prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which begins June 11th through July 19th.

The team will be using the G. Larry James Stadium facility on Stockton's campus in Galloway, which opened in 1998 and is home to the Stockton men's and women's track & field and men's and women's soccer teams.

World Cup Training Sites Across New Jersey and Philly

Games will be held throughout North America, in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field is hosting six matches, and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford is hosting eight matches.

Key Match Dates: Philadelphia and East Rutherford

The first match in Philadelphia will be held on June 14 with the Ivory Coast facing Ecuador, while the first match in New Jersey will be June 16 with France taking on Senegal.

Three other countries will train in New Jersey

  • Brazil will train at Columbia Park in Morris Township
  • Senegal at Rutgers University in Piscataway
  • Morocco at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge

One team, the Ivory Coast of Africa, will train in Philadelphia at Subaru Park in Chester, home of the Philadelphia Union.
