With three New Jersey beaches recently being named among the most polite beaches in America, it got me thinking about beach etiquette.
The three beaches in New Jersey that made the list were Cove Beach in Cape May, which ranked as the #1 most polite beach at the Jersey Shore, along with Avalon and Ocean Grove Beach in Neptune, according to APP.
It's expected to be a hot week across the Garden State, so plenty of us will be heading to the Jersey Shore to cool off, but what is it that can instantly ruin an otherwise perfect beach day?

We often hear about people blasting loud music or setting up way too close to someone else. Or that person who starts spraying sunscreen, and the wind carries it everywhere. Half the time, it doesn't even end up on them or the person they're spraying, but ends up on everyone around them.

We asked our listeners for the biggest complaints, and feeding the seagulls was a big one. Another popular answer was when beachgoers leave trash behind.
Some other things people said are extremely annoying at the beach include playing games like football, frisbee, or paddleball too close to others, constantly kicking up sand onto other people's towels, and taking up too much space with several tents.
