There was a show called “Adam Ruins Everything” where the host exposed ugly truths on things about which we may have held misconceptions. One episode was on college and what a racket the tuition and student loans is. Not to mention the sometimes-overinflated importance of college itself.

If you don’t have a college degree it is still possible to earn decent money arming yourself with a trade or other unique ability. We’ve all heard the stories of college graduates walking out with a diploma in a field of study they never find work in while being saddled with massive debt.

Now it’s true that a bachelor’s degree can bump your pay. The median weekly salary for a bachelor’s holder is $1,334. Whereas for the holder of only a high school diploma it’s $809 and for no high school diploma it’s $626. Yet there are still fields that don’t require a college degree that you can still earn enough to take good care of yourself
