8 Halloween Events At The Jersey Shore To Mark In Your Calendar
Now yes, I am one to preach that it is only September but you would be surprised how quickly these Halloween activities fill up. And who on earth would want to miss out on dressing up, apple picking, and candy!? Check out some of the local events coming up!
1. The Dark Carnival
Location: 136 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721
When: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from September 30th to October 30th, 7 PM to 11 PM
Website: DarkCarnivalNJ.com
Using 45 to 50 actors a night, this attraction makes it difficult for you to make it all the way through. First, explore the winding mazes filled with the scariest and most demonizing clowns you have ever seen. With IT just coming out, this may be a lot harder to finish than you think.
If you can make it through, there are many other attractions including the The Sanitarium where medicine has failed to cure the sick. This spot is extreme and is not recommended for children or anyone else that does not like horror.
2. Boo at the Boardwalk
Where: Jenkinsons Boardwalk, 100 Ocean Avenue, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742
When: October 21st, 22nd, 28th, and 29th, 12 PM to 4 PM
Website: Jenkinsons.com
This kid-friendly event dares you to dress up in your best costume and come on down to Point Pleasant for face paintings, pumpkin carvings, but most importantly, trick or treating. Plus, you can stop by Jenkinson's Aquarium, Pavilion Arcade, and Jenkinson's Sweet Shop before passing out from overdoing it on the sugar.
3. Cornfield of Terror
Where: 723 W. Herschel Street. Egg Harbor City, NJ
When: Starting September 30th, open Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays from dusk until 10:30PM
Website:CornfieldOfTerror.com
Long ago, a local farmer was doing work in the cornfield and after disappearing into the fields was never seen again. Now, you are dared to make it through the corn maze with all sorts of demented creatures lurking about. You don't have to be the fastest, just the slowest to survive. Do you dare?
If you are looking for a more family-friendly kind of day, there is a much nicer corn maze that you can attempt plus a nice calm hay ride.
4. Tuckerton Seaport
Where: 120 W. Main Street, Tuckerton, NJ 08087
When: October 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 6 PM to 9 PM
Website: TuckertonSeaport.org
Ready to get spooked? Stop by the haunted Tuckerton Seaport where ghost boats travel along the creek and screams can be heard from afar. Do you dare to try and find your way out of the haunted woods or get startled on a hayride? For you fans of a not-so-scary atmosphere, there will be arts and crafts, games, and stories in the pumpkin patch with beverages available for purchase.
5. Nightmare at Gravity Hill
Where: 1005 Farmingdale Road, Jackson, NJ, 08527
When: Weekend Evenings from September 16th to October 30th

This freakfest is a 30 to 45 min walk through a path of disturbing and frightening creatures. You may not know will be around the next corner but there is one thing you can be sure of, you better be ready to get scared. They are not responsible for any nightmares that may follow.

First, Sinister Sneed's Chaotic Carnival of Chaos where you can watch helpless souls trapped by the devil put on one heck of a show. Next, head on over to The Forbidden "Inbred and Nearly Dead," known as a summer camp but continuously have people disappearing and then reappearing skinned alive!
