An 11-year-old girl nearly drowned Saturday afternoon in the pool at Legacy Resorts in Brigantine.

Brigantine Police say they were called to the resort after the report of a missing child and found the child near the bottom of a pool with cloudy water.

Brigantine Police posted about the incident on Facebook, saying that they responded to Legacy Resorts at approximately 3:22pm Saturday, June 5 after the report of a missing girl.

When noticing the pool water was cloudy, Officer Panas decided to enter the pool to check for the missing child.

The child, an 11 year old female, was located at the bottom of the pool. Officer Panas swam the female to the edge of the pool where Sgt. Devine and Ofc. Ludy began CPR.
