The Holy Spirit Spartans didn't have the season they wanted, but still had some things to celebrate.

The Spartans dominated the Atlantic City Vikings, 49-8, in the 93rd edition of Atlantic County’s oldest Thanksgiving rivalry, with no player standing out more than senior wide receiver Elijah Steward, who caught 10 passes for 193 yards and three TDs.

In the process, Steward set a single-season receiving record with 1,081 receiving yards this season, eclipsing the 1,018 yards Kevin Hallman had back in 1988 per South Jersey football historian Chuck Landerman.

He also became the first Holy Spirit Spartan wideout to go over the 1,000 yards make in 33 years.

Steward had an amazing season for the Absecon school with 1,081 yards and 30 touchdowns, which is the fifth most in South Jersey history, and he also made a highlight touchdown catch in a win over Pleasantville this year, that landed him on ESPN's 'You Got mossed' segment.
