Multiple Atlantic City officials have provided us with confirmation that a dead body has been found at Atlantic City’s iconic Soldiers Home.

Soldiers Home is also known as Old Soldiers Memorial and is located at the All Wars Memorial Building at 1510 Adriatic Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

This is a truly historic structure in Atlantic City, New Jersey, that had been closed for required repairs. The building reopened on Monday, January 9, 2023.

We learned about this at 9:27 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023.

We have reached out to Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds for comment as the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office directly takes the lead in most all of the cases that result in a fatality in Atlantic City and throughout Atlantic County.

Will Reynolds is the chief law enforcement officer in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

In this particular case, we have confirmed that the Atlantic City Police Department did not call the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office about this fatality as of yet (1:50 p.m.)

In circumstances where no foul play is suspected, the Atlantic City Police Department is the lead agency and they do not necessarily involve the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

An Atlantic City Police Department representative has told Townsquare media that no foul play is suspected in today’s fatality.
