Avalon Won’t Charge For Beach Tags While Beach Access Is Limited
I don't know about you but I am so thankful that beaches are starting to reopen and there is hope for this upcoming Summer.
However, being that things aren't going to be "normal," a South Jersey beach town is making adjustments that I think a lot of us will appreciate.

The mayor of Avalon has just recently announced that his beach town will NOT be charging for beach tags or beach entry while the entire beach experience is limited.
This announcements also included that pre-season pricing for tags will also be extended from May 31st to June 30th which completely makes sense because we can't enjoy the beach in its entirety!
Avalon has already declared that access to the beach is limited and beach-goers can only walk, run, fish and surf. There is no swimming or stationary activities allowed -- aka, all the best parts of going to the beach.
Plus, all events scheduled for May including the Memorial Day parade and ceremony have already been canceled.
And it gets even better: if these restrictions remain in place for the entire Summer, anyone who has already purchased beach tags will be refunded OR credited for the 2021 Summer season.
This is very self aware on our public officials' part.
You pay to go on the beach to go swimming, to tan, to play, to spend time to family and A LOT of that is being taken away.
We will keep you updated as the Summer goes on but everyone should be thankful that our officials are looking out for us this way.
