The Atlantic City Police Department says one person was arrested after a man was hit with a bottle and robbed in the city last weekend.

The incident took place around 2:00 early Saturday morning, November 13th, according to police. That's when ACPD officers were called to Montpelier and Arctic Avenues for a report of a man that was assaulted.

At the scene, cops found a 43-year-old man from Atlantic City who was bleeding. They say, "The victim had been approached by two males when one struck him in the head with a bottle. They then began to go through the victim’s pockets demanding money."

Cops were able to find two men that matched the description of the suspects on South Chelsea Avenue. One fled and was not caught, while 18-year-old Bryan Maldonado of Atlantic City was taken into custody.
