Another COVID Cancellation: Galloway Township 4th Of July Parade Won’t Happen Again

The cancelation trend of parades started again this year when all St. Patrick Day parades around the state, including Atlantic City and North Wildwood, were called off due to the ongoing concerns of the coronavirus pandemic.

COVID strikes again and this time the biggest 4th of July Parade in the state will not happen this year. The Press of Atlantic City reports the parade has been officially called off due to COVID-19 restrictions and safety protocols associated with the pandemic.

The parade planning takes two and a half months of advanced work and parade officials came to the conclusion the parade would not be feasible in 2021 thanks to covid concerns. The 2019 parade, was also canceled due to the same concerns.  According to the parader committee, the 4th of July parade will take place in 2022.

The Galloway Township  4th of July parade is held in historic Smithville and is known to attract close to 10,000 people. Check back for more details concerning the status of the 4th of July parades around the state.
