The cancelation trend of parades started again this year when all St. Patrick Day parades around the state, including Atlantic City and North Wildwood, were called off due to the ongoing concerns of the coronavirus pandemic.

COVID strikes again and this time the biggest 4th of July Parade in the state will not happen this year. The Press of Atlantic City reports the parade has been officially called off due to COVID-19 restrictions and safety protocols associated with the pandemic.

The parade planning takes two and a half months of advanced work and parade officials came to the conclusion the parade would not be feasible in 2021 thanks to covid concerns. Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
