6 Years Ago Today: Nor’Easter Dumps 7” of Snow, Just Days After Sandy

Do you remember the storm that dropped more than 7” of snow in our area just days after Hurricane Sandy? I certainly do. Well, today marks 6 years since that storm.

It was November 7, 2019, and much of our area was still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy (which had hit just a week prior). In fact, much of our area was still in the dark. In fact, parts of the Jersey Shore, which had just been walloped by Sandy, had a foot of snow on the ground.

I was still living in Ocean County, and our power had just come back that afternoon. The weight of the heavyweight snow that afternoon and our fragile power lines, of course, led to additional.

Meanwhile, in OCEAN COUNTY (where I was that time), we had a FOOT of snow. The whole thing was pretty insane. I was working overnights at the time (from home), but when the power went out, I had to actually work from my car so I could plug into my power source. That car, by the way, was a rental because my actual car was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.
