When Mariah Carey recorded Merry Christmas back in 1994 she was 24 years old. Not everyone realizes 'AIWFCIY' is a song she wrote. But she also wrote two other BEAUTIFUL original songs: 'Miss You Most (at Christmas Time)' and 'Jesus Born on This Day'.

Then in 2010 when she released the follow-up Merry Christmas II You, it also including a few new Christmas tunes she wrote, including 'Oh, Santa' and 'When Christmas Comes'.

But along with the originals, peppered in are some stellar renditions of Christmas classics and gospel songs that will knock you off your feet. Those two albums together bring on hours of joy.

Oh, and she's probably going to be singing them all this Saturday night when she brings her Christmas tour to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

'Here Comes Santa Claus (Housetop Celebration)'
If you like a little more soul in your Christmas, this particular track has such a 70's funk/soul vibe that makes you wanna get your groove on. It was co-produced by Mariah's longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri.

'Jesus Born on This Day'
I've never heard the story of Jesus' birth retold so beautifully. This song, written by Mariah, includes a children's chorus, which marries so perfectly the traditional story of Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem with the wonder of Christmas as we know it now. To think she was only 24 when she wrote this one is wild.

'O Holy Night'
This is by far the most stunning vocal arrangement of this standard ever recorded. Simple, understated perfection. My favorite rendition always.

'Oh Santa!'
Also an original, this feels like 'All I Want for Christmas Is You's big sister. The fresh beat and Mariah's clever lyrics give 'Oh Santa!' just as many Christmas feels.

'Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)'
In 1994, Mariah Carey was still known as the ballad queen with the 7-octave range. In the style of 'Love Takes Time' and 'Hero', 'Miss You Most' captures that part of Mariah's repertoire, and, at the time of it's release slid nicely into the rest of her catalog. This one makes me cry every time. Whether a loved one or a past love or a friend, we're all missing SOMEONE during the holidays. Looking out the winter into the snow wishing they were there.

'Joy to the World'
Produced by David Cole and Robert Clivilles of C&C Music Factory, this version of this song is just a straight up club banger party track.
