$500 Rebate Check Could Be In Your Hands in the Next Couple Of Weeks
Here's a nice way to officially welcome in the summer season. Another rebate check could soon be on the way to close to one million residents of the Garden State in the next couple of weeks.
The rebate checks are part of the $319 million package approved by state officials last fall according to the website Patch.com. Governor Murphy and state officials reached an agreement on property tax measures and middle-class tax relief. It's all part of the 2022 Budget which is set to take place on July 1st.

Married parents filing a joint tax return or who identify as head of the household or a surviving spouse would be eligible for the $500 summer rebate. In order to be eligible parents must have at least one child and earn a maximum of $150,000.
Governor Murphy tells The Patch,
"Tax relief is a critical component of a stronger and fairer New Jersey," "With each budget I have introduced, we have provided greater relief to those who need it most."
We can expect the $500 rebates to start showing up once the new budget passes. The $500 rebate checks for residents of New Jersey will be based on your 2020 gross income and taxes filed for 2020 this spring.
