48th Annual Ocean City, New Jersey Flower Show Will Be Virtual Again This Year

There are many benefits of having flowers around the home and office. Flowers are known to improve people's moods and physical state. Having flowers around can also spread happiness which we all could use a shot of.

Unfortunately, we have to wait until 2022 to experience an Ocean City tradition in person as the annual Flower Show will once again be a virtual event thanks to the ongoing concerns 'due to COVID  according to OC NJ Daily.

The Garden Club of Ocean City puts on the event every year and for 2021 the event will highlight garden displays and floral arrangements.

You can submit photos for this year's Ocen City Flower Show at events@ocnj.us. Photos of home gardens, vegetable gardens, plants, flower arrangements, door wreaths, house plants. A few favorite submissions will be highlighted on the Ocean City Music Pier Facebook page on June 3rd and 4th. The deadline for submissions is June 1st.

There is some good news for another Ocean City tradition as the annual unlocking of the ocean to kick off the unofficial start to the summer season will be a live event that you can attend in person at noon on March 28th.

The unlocking of the ocean will take place on the beach next to the Music Pier to welcome the long Memorial Day Weekend!
