20th Century Cape May Trolleys Going To Make Major Comeback
Turns out that Cape May County has these very old trolley cars stowed away that were built back in 1913 and really haven't been used all that much anymore -- until now.
These older trolleys were donated to the non-profit organization Liberty Historic Railway, Inc. by Wildwood Historical Society
A man named Captain William McKelvey, director and chairman of LHRy has made it clear that this generation of trolleys are going to be making a comeback and will be completely restored to their original condition.
It is going to take an estimated $500,000 to completely restore these old guys so donations are always welcome. An anonymous donation off $300,000 has already been given to the cause so, that's a start!
Take a look at NJ.com for more information while we wait for the original trolleys to look as they did in their glory days.
