On Monday, May 12, 2025, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small met with residents of The Warwick Condominiums, located on South Raleigh Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

A resident contacted me to share exactly what Small said to those in attendance.

RETURN OF ATLANTIC CITY AIRSHOW

Small took credit for obtaining $ 3 million to bring the airshow back to Atlantic City following a one year hiatus.

Small was supportive, but, not the definitive reason for the airshow returning.

SMALL DECLARES HE IS THE MOST QUALIFIED

Small advised that he is “more qualified and more educated” than his opponents.

Small is facing Bob McDevitt in the June 10, 2025 Democrat Primary election.

Naeem Khan, a self-made multi-millionaire is running unopposed for the Republican nomination.

Dennis Burroughs is running an independent campaign for Mayor of Atlantic City.

SMALL ADDRESSED HIS CURRENT CRIMINAL CHARGES

About his criminal charges, Small said:

“What you are hearing is not the real story,” said Small.

Small is facing multiple criminal charges for alleged child abuse. Small said, “I am a strict parent.”

Small was also indicted by a second, Atlantic County Grand Jury for alleged witness tampering.

Marty Small and his wife, La’Quetta Small are both scheduled to go to trial on July 14, 2025.

NO MURDERS IN ATLANTIC CITY IN 2025

Small highlighted that there have not been any murders in Atlantic City thus far in 2025.

That is undeniably true.

ROAD PAVING IN ATLANTIC CITY

Small said that road paving would continue on Atlantic Avenue from “Tennessee Avenue to Albany Avenue,” said Small.

Small said he was waiting for the government to “release the funds.”

Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt has publicly stated for years that the funding was in place and he placed the blame on the horrific road conditions on dereliction of Small.

ATLANTIC CITY CREDIT RATING & PROPERTY TAXES

Small advised that the credit rating for Atlantic City has improved since he became Mayor. Small also said that he has decreased property taxes each year since he has been the Mayor.

Both statements are true.

Atlantic City also has a very healthy budget surplus, in the neighborhood of $ 60 million.

HOMELESSNESS & DRUG ISSUES

Small addressed a resident question about homelessness and the pervasive drug issues that persist throughout Atlantic City.

Small advised that Atlantic City has received $ 1.3 million to address these problems. Regarding the drug trade, Small said that the Atlantic City Police Department does not reveal its plans, “but, it’s being worked on,” said Small.

Small was generally well received by the residents of the Warwick Condominiums.
