Atlantic County, NJ, Sheriff: Fugitive Captured With CDS & Cash

Atlantic County, New Jersey Sheriff Joe “Tokyo” O’Donoghue has announced the capturing of a fugitive, who was in possession of a large amount of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) and cash.

Sheriff O’Donoghue has announced that:

At approximately 1800 hours (6:00 p.m.) on August 14th, 2025, Sheriff's Detectives Borlandoe, Martyn, and Pennington apprehended a wanted fugitive, Keith Merendino, said O’Donoghue.

Merendino Was Wanted On Many Serious Warrants, Including:

Several counts of theft by unlawful taking.
several counts of possession of CDS.
hindering apprehension,.
unlawful possession of a weapon.
criminal intent.
burglary.

Additionally, Merendino is accused of possessing :

522 wax folds of suspected heroin.
0.36 oz of suspected methamphetamine.
0.08 oz of suspected cocaine.
$ 10,368.47 in cash, from suspected drug proceeds.

Possession of CDS/Analog (2C:35-10A(1)).
manufacturing and distributing CDS (2C:35-5B(2)).
use with possession and attempt to distribute (2C:36-2A).

Status Of Merendino

Merendino is currently being housed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
