Streak Is Over: First Shooting Murder Of 2025 In Atlantic City
The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department has undoubtedly made progress in 2025 towards decreasing the overall violence in The World’s Play Ground (WPG).
A storyline that was very positive to tell … was the fact that there had been no shooting deaths in Atlantic City during 2025
The Streak Is Over
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 8:53 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department received a 911 call regarding a male lying on the sidewalk outside of the Shore Park apartments, 225 N. Virginia Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ. Police arrived on scene and located a male, identified as Robert Stanley Davis, 40, of Atlantic City, unresponsive with what appeared to be one gunshot wound to the head. Davis was pronounced deceased on scene a short time later. The Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy on Davis. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. The manner of death is a homicide, said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
