We have learned the following regarding arraignment dates that are now set for Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small, La’Quetta Small - Superintendent of Public Schools and Constance Days-Chapman - Principal of Atlantic City High School.

  • Days-Chapman will be arraigned on Friday, October 3, 2024.
  • Marty and La’Quetta Small will both be arraigned on Friday, October 10, 2024.

An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Days-Chapman on August 17, 2024 on a variety of criminal counts as follows:

  • second-degree Official
    Misconduct.
  • one count of second-degree Pattern of Official
    Misconduct.
  • one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
  • one count of third-degree Hindering
    Apprehension of Another.

Marty Small was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury on September 17, 2024 on the following charges:

  • second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
  • third-degree Terroristic Threats,
  • third-degree Aggravated Assault.

La’Quetta Small was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury on September 17, 2024 with:

  • second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Days-Chapman was promptly suspended from her position as high school principal, immediately being direct criminally charged by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office many months ago.

Much to the disbelief of all rational observers, La'Quetta Small has not been suspended and continues to work and have direct pupil contact.

This opens the Atlantic City taxpayers to untold potential legal and financial liabilities.

The Atlantic City Board of Education hired and paid for a special legal counsel to advise them on what to do with La'Quetta Small.

The special legal counsel advised the Atlantic City Board of Education must suspend La'Quetta Small.

The Atlantic City Board of Education did not take the advice of their expert attorney.

Yesterday, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy question Marty Smalls’ ability to be effective in his position and suggested that he should consider resigning his position as Mayor.

Developing.
