With springtime comes the official start of tropical storm and hurricane season. The National Hurricane Center is out with its list of chosen names for this year's storms. Is your name on it?

Tropical storm and hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th, according to the National Hurricane Center.

While it's a little too early for even weather experts to predict how many or if any tropical storms or hurricanes will impact South Jersey, they're preparing names for at least the first 21 of them, NJ. com reports.

Not that I'd want my name to become synonymous with a dangerous and potential damaging weather system, I'm a little bummed to see 'Heather' didn't make the cut this year. Maybe in 2024 since female and male names trade off every other year.

This year's storm names begin with a female letter 'A' name. There are no names representing the letters 'Q', 'U', 'X', 'Y', or 'Z'.

Maybe they should have been included though because last year I believe the NHC ran out of traditional alphabet names and moved on to the Greek alphabet for inspiration.
